This, effectively, makes Final Doom free for all owners of either Classic Doom titles on. The two Final Doom IWADs are available as official add-ons for both The Ultimate Doom and Doom II. Last but not least, the written legal consent of all involved authors for each and every included asset is mandatory, so that they all have to be contactable by id Software in order to license their work. Official add-ons are curated to ensure they are playable within the raised limits of Doom Classic, and to avoid potential copyright infringement in their content. Since console manufacturers do not usually allow players to use third-party content unless vetted by the publisher of the game, the official add-ons system allows a selection of modifications to be downloaded and played instead of being limited to the IWADs. P.S.: Sorry english is not my first language so I hope you still understand.The official add-ons are third-party PWADs that can be downloaded for free from to be played with the Doom Classic Unity port. pk3 in a 'skins' file ( where I put brutal doom too ) where you put your game and voilà!
So it's my little selection of addons to Brutal Doom.
I was able on the old version of BD but I forgot/can't found or I just can't anymore with Zandronum, dunno. Now I just want to found a way to know how to put better lighting effect and well put shadows on the characters and the monsters. I installed Quiet Marines some minutes ago, but didn't tested yet ( need to found marines ), they don't have a so bad voices but I found them annoying after some minutes. O:)ĭoom Metal fit well with the game, it's just a remix of the soundtrack I just wait for some modif' on BD for a Third Person view of the doomguy with black gloves. Green Marine Legs ( because I kind of find silly to have a green space marine by default who kick asses with black pant :B ) Of course if you put many other mods like HD textures and all some other HUD mod give you more with more details but I like to keep that simple )įootsteps stound ( I'm not sure it's this one, I mean I use this mod since many years and forgot where I get it ) I just like to walk and get the feeling I walk on different surface.
I use doomguy visor hud I know some are more complex or with more details but I wanted something close to the original game but who still fit with Brutal Doom, I like this mod because it's give you all the info' I need ( ammos, keys, secrets, kills, items ) with a little feeling you have an helmet but still in the old school style.
